We’re so glad you are thinking of visiting Bethel.
Here you’ll find a community of imperfect people from all walks of life, learning, growing, and serving together. No matter where you are on your journey, there’s a place for you at Bethel.
We invite you to join us for worship, connect with our community, and discover the joy of belonging.
Worship Services
We have two worship services each Sunday Morning and Sunday School for all ages in-between.
9am: Contemporary Worship in the Fellowship Hall
10am: Sunday School
11am: Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary
We have Holy Communion the first Sunday of each month. You don’t have to be a member of the United Methodist Church to take Communion. We practice an open table, meaning everyone who seeks to follow Christ is welcome to share in this sacred meal.
Every 5th Sunday, we join together for one worship service at 10am.
You can also join us in worship via livestream on our YouTube channel (or watch the recorded service at your convenience).
Parking & Accessibility
Parking
Bethel is enclosed by four streets. The church address is 245 South Church St. Spartanburg, SC. Parking is accessible from the other three: E. Henry St, E. Lee St, and S. Liberty St. Handicapped parking is available nearest the front and back entrances.
Accessibility
Bethel is wheelchair accessible via elevator and lift. Handicapped parking is available nearest the front and back entrances.
For Families
Children and youth are a vital part of our church family. Most services include a time just for kids, and we offer nursery care for little ones. Sunday School and youth programs are available to help children learn about God in age-appropriate, engaging ways.
We want families to worship, learn, and serve together — and we’re here to support you in every stage of life.
Child Care
A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers during Sunday School and Worship services (8:45am – 12pm). It is located on the first floor through the center doors by the fountain and to the left. (To the right if entering through the back.) Your child will be cared for by our loving and nurturing staff of nursery workers.
During both Contemporary and Traditional Worship, older children are invited to participate in a special Children’s Church. There will be a time announced during the service when children leave for Children’s church.

Holy Communion
You don’t have to be a member of the United Methodist Church to join us in worship — or to take Communion. We practice an open table, meaning everyone who seeks to follow Christ is welcome to share in this sacred meal.
Attire
Come as you are! Whether you wear a suit, dress, jeans, or shorts; you are always welcome. Typically, members at the traditional service are more formally dressed, but feel free to wear what you’re most comfortable wearing. The important thing is that we’d love to see you!
More Than Sunday Morning
Faith in the Methodist tradition is lived out daily — in service, learning, and fellowship. You’ll find small groups, Bible studies, outreach opportunities, and mission projects for all ages and interests. We believe faith grows best in community, and there’s a place for you here.
We can’t wait to meet you.
No matter your background, your questions, or your journey, there is space for you among us. We’re not perfect people — just people learning to love God and neighbor more fully.
So come as you are, and discover a community where you can belong, believe, and become the person God created you to be.
Please don’t hesitate to call the church office at 864-585-4801 if you need further information.
