The Good News

In the gospel of Mark verses 14 and 15 Jesus came into Galilee announcing God’s good news, saying, “Now is the time! Here comes God’s kingdom!  Change your hearts and lives, and trust this good news!”

And this fall we think it’s time for us to be reminded of the good news of Jesus Christ.  On September 12th we will start a new sermon series that will focus on the good news that Jesus announced to the world, and why trusting that good news can change our lives.  We hope that focusing on the good news will give us fresh eyes to see the world and wisdom to endure the hard places in our lives and the world today.

September 12th we are also introducing our new Sunday morning schedule!

8:45am Sunday School

9:30am Spirit Song

10am Traditional Worship

And September 15th we will be kicking off Wednesday Night Fellowship.  Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:30pm and we will be restarting many of our small groups. We hope that you will find a study to be a part of.  These groups will read and wrestle with the Bible.  They will challenge you.  They will pray with you. They will help you become a more faithful Christian. You can go to bethelmethodist.org to make reservations for dinner and sign up for bible studies.

There are so many chances for you to grow with us this fall both in person and online. Opportunities to change your hearts and lives.  Opportunities to worship.  Opportunities to join a Sunday School class, bible study, or other small group.  Opportunities to serve Bethel and the wider community.  Opportunities to invite your friends, coworkers, and neighbors to hear the good news.

Peace,

Pastor Megan
